Cheat code
The aren't many cheat codes in this game.
There is one however.
You can type at the advanture
window and you will see the whole map as if you have explored every place on
map. I think you should use the top row of your keyboard instead of keypad since
keypad is reserved for movement control. And I do believe I tried both and only
top row numbers worked.
Editors
There are two saved game editors I saw
floating around.
One is called 'che'.
You can find it at
Weslee
Bilodeau's cheats pages.
Check out his other editor/cheats too.
This is supposed to be a newer version, v1.1 and I haven't tried it yet. I will
let you know the results and, MAYBE, some comments. ASAP or so I hope :).
Another is hmmed the
lastest version is
2.0, which requires Windows 95 to run. The version that works for Windows
3.1 is V1.3. It is the only native Windows editor I saw. Version 1.3 works under
Windows 95 too if you care that is. You can find it at
GB Consulting
homepage Both are sharewares. Also
a direct download
link for version 1.3 is here.
Also, you need
all the library
files.
Lately there are people complaining about an old version of
Grid.vbx. I think the link above should let you download the lastest updated
files. If not,
sure you get the right one.
Another good thing I should mention
about this editor is it listed all the + or - values for all artifacts, so you
will know what to add to your heroes.
I highly recommand this editor because it's windows based and the
easiest to use.
If you have
UGE
(Universal Game Editor)there is a module written by
Dave at [email protected] Since nobody can
ever log into his ftp site (*GRUMBLE*) I made the one for Heroes of Might and
Magic right here for you to download.
Even if you
don't want to use this module, you should still download it and read its help
file. It's proven to be useful when comes to artifacts editing. It tell you
which artifacts are calculated and which are saved. Only one of two kinds can be
saved after you edit it I don't remember which one though, read the file
yourself.
I should say that any of the above editor is enough for you
to win the game, however, you might want to try them all before you decide which
one will be your final keep. Also, backup your file before you edit, also write
down the names of your castles and your heroes, so in the eidtor you will know
which one to change. Don't be too greedy and max out everything. The edited game
file can and will crash the game if the game see something strange in the saved
game files..
Ok here is the saved games.
Knight Campaign.
Barbarian
Campaign.
Sorceress
Campaign.
Warlock Campaign.
